1. What is Project Cargo & Out-Of-Gauge (OOG)?

Cargo whose dimensions or unit weight exceed the standard internal capacity of a 40' High Cube container (dimensions > 12.0m × 2.35m × 2.69m or piece weight > 26,000 KG) cannot be shipped via standard container lines. Transporting these valuable capital assets requires specialized equipment, naval architecture calculations, and route engineering.

Specialized Equipment Portfolio

  • Flat Rack Containers (20FR & 40FR): Ideal for heavy industrial equipment, presses, CNC machining centers, and electrical substations with over-width (OW) or over-height (OH) dimensions.
  • Open Top Containers (20OT & 40OT): Removable tarpaulin roofs allow overhead crane loading for machinery or tall crated units requiring vertical hoist.
  • Breakbulk (BB) Vessels: Direct stowage on multi-purpose tween-deck vessels for cargo exceeding 100 metric tons or over-length structural beams.

2. Engineered Rigging, Timber Chocking & Lashing Standards

Improper securing is the leading cause of maritime heavy cargo claims. ZT-AGENCY CHINA employs certified marine surveyors adhering to IMO Cargo Securing Guidelines and CCS (China Classification Society) standards:

Our Project Securing Protocol:

  • Tensile Wire Rope & Turnbuckle Lashing: High-grade steel wire ropes with heavy-duty bottle turnbuckles tensioned to exact safety margins.
  • Hardwood Chocking & Friction Mats: Heavy timber blocks bolted to flat rack beds combined with high-friction rubber mats to eliminate transverse sliding under vessel pitch and roll.
  • Lashing Survey Certificate: Independent surveyor issued certificate of seaworthiness required by maritime underwriters and carrier captains.

3. End-to-End Jobsite Delivery

We do not stop at port discharge. Our project forwarders arrange specialized multi-axle hydraulic trailers, police escorts, and bridge clearance permits to ensure your heavy plant arrives safely at the final erection site.
